In the years since real estate developer Ron Boeddeker first envisioned a resort development at ‘Anaeho‘omalu Bay and construction of what is now the Hilton Waikoloa Village began in 1986,  the lava fields of Waikoloa have changed dramatically. Today, two flagship hotels, the Hilton and the Waikoloa Beach Marriott Resort & Spa, as well as several island-inspired condominium and timeshare developments dot this otherwise rugged Kohala Coast landscape, alongside luxury villas and private residences.
